Help! The app's not synching properly!

We're aware that there syncing issues between the 5k app and ZombieLink. These can result in your runs not synchronising to ZombieLink at all, or only your most recent run not synchronising.

If your runs are not synchronising at all:

First of all make sure you are manually tapping on the ‘synchronise now’ button. Zombies, Run! 5k Training does not do this for you automatically to ensure we will never synchronise over a mobile data connection without your knowledge.

If you’re already doing this however, then try logging out of your ZombieLink account within the app, and then logging back in. Tap on the ‘synchronise now’ button and your run log should appear on the website within a few minutes.

If only your most recent run is not synchronising:

Unfortunately there’s no way to force that run to upload using the method above. You can work around the issue however, by logging another short run after the one you want to synchronise. To do this follow the steps below:

  • Start up another workout. You can use one you have already completed.
  • Let the workout play for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Stop the workout and synchronise.
  • Your most recent, legitimate, run log should now upload.

This method will result in a lot of ‘fake’ runs, however keeping them below 4 minutes will automatically hide them so they do not affect your stats. You can also permanently delete them from your ZombieLink account once your legitimate run logs have been uploaded.

Please Note: We do realise these methods are annoying. Please rest assured that we are working on improving how synching works in the 5k Training app. Your patience in the mean time is very much appreciated.
